The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

Introduction

Two centuries after the Industrial Revolution, most of the world still had to contend with the daily pain of underdevelopment manifested in the form of poverty, slow growth and poor access to basics like good Health and Sanitation, sufficient food supply and Nutrition,basic Education,Human Security and a Habitable environment, among others.

The Bachelor of Arts in Development Economics is designed with a practical-oriented approach to development problems and challenges of developing countries. The prograamme builds human resources, well grounded in the conceptual understanding of development issues and the skills required to analyze development development problems and design appropriate interventions to the various development problems

The course suits specially development practitioners working on development-oriented programs in government, NGOs, at district level and lover levels
