The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program at Busitema University is a hands-on program that prepares students for careers in crop and Animal Production and Management. It teaches crop and animal science, soil science, Agricultural mechanization, Agricultural extension, Agricultural marketing, Farm management, and Agricultural Economics, among other things.

It is intended to contribute to national goals such as increasing household income, job creation, and food security, among others

Course Entry Requirements

UACE & UCE:

UACE (“A” Level) with at least two principal passes in subjects; Biology and Chemistry- Essentials and One best done of Physics, Agriculture, Geography, Foods and Nutrition, mathematics and entrepreneurship.


Diploma entry requirements 

A credit or Second-Class Diploma in Agriculture or related field obtained from a recognized institution
