The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

Computer Engineering programme focuses on the design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware components of modern computing systems and computer-controlled equipment.

It overlaps with computer science on one end (software systems) and with electrical engineering on other (hardware). The program equips students with hands-on experience on system design and implementation by offering a set of practical labs in digital logic, microprocessor, electronics, signal processing, computer interfacing, etc

Course Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements.

UACE & UCE:

UACE or its equivalent with at least two principle passes in Physics and Mathematics obtained at same sitting, and UCE or its equivalent with five (5) passes at O-level.


Diploma entry requirements:

Diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics and Electrical Engineering, traditional Engineering Disciplines, or any other diploma that has both Mathematics and Physics as core components, from a recognized Institution (of at least second class (lower division).
Mature Age requirements:

Applicant must pass the appropriate Mature Age Entry Examination- to be set by Busitema University. Busitema University admissions policy shall apply.
