Aim:
Our Clinical Ophthalmology Diploma Programme aims at producing a graduate who will be equipped with knowledge, attitudes and skills in preventing and curing eye diseases in order to promote health.

Course Entry Requirements

A'Level with principal passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics. Relevant subjects are Agriculture, Geography and Economics

A Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing or an A-Level Certificate (Science combination with subjects acceptable for candidates doing medical courses)  is required

The post-basic programme admits candidates who are in practice and have a diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing from a recognized institution. These are trained in Ophthalmology for only one year.

The direct entry scheme admits candidates who have completed advanced level (Senior six). The candidate must have offered a science combination with subjects acceptable for candidates doing medical courses as per Curricula guidelines. These are trained for a duration of three years.
